Equestrian Focused Pilates Lessons

“Only the rider who is free from any contraction will have a horse equally free from contraction. A team as this is the ideal”

– Nuno Oliveira

We understand that riding horses involves not just one athlete, but two – the rider and the horse. Both must perform harmoniously to achieve their goals. While most riders prioritize their horses' health and fitness, it's equally important to care for your own fitness and well-being.

Pilates is a versatile workout suitable for everyone, and it complements any sport, including riding horses. With over 800 exercises to choose from, Pilates allows us to tailor workouts to each individual's specific needs, targeting areas of muscular imbalances, asymmetries and general aches & pains from possible previous injuries.

Many athletes, including equestrians, credit Pilates for helping them perform at their peak levels. By addressing these imbalances and enhancing core strength and stability, Pilates not only benefits the rider but also positively impacts the horse.

Horses are incredibly sensitive animals, and they can feel even subtle imbalances or tension in their riders. These issues can affect the horse's performance, making it challenging for them to move freely and comfortably. Over time this can cause imbalances and increase tension in their bodies even causing them injuries.

By incorporating Pilates into your routine, you're not only investing in your own well-being but also showing love and care for your horse. Together, let's write your success story.

We will create harmony between you and your horse with the power of pilates.

I know this to be true and you will too.
— Robin Kockler
The horse and the rider are a team and should be trained to speak the same language with their bodies while they are in motion together.
